about

*This is just me remembering simpler times with my friends in my hometown, dwelling on the past. Like I said, it's a problem I'm trying to work out.

lyrics

We all agree, we speak in the past tense, but there's no way we can ever go back!

I wish that I could relive the days when we planted footsteps in our hometown!
We'll never forget our stomping ground!
These sidewalks burn! These trees scream memories of innocent days leading nowhere,
All these streets still know our names!

And I feel like a broken record, talking about the past
With burning hope that the memories will last!

And I have a problem with dwelling on it
There's nothing I can do about it!

When I take the long way home I think 'can my life really get any better?'
The present will soon be the past too.
So live for now! And don't take what you have for granted!
But don't ever forget your roots!

And I feel like a broken record, talking about the past
With burning hope that the memories will last!

And I have a problem with dwelling on it
There's nothing I can do about it!
